It's way too big in my opinion, looks more like a picture, and too much details for universal use.

I know this game is not Ragnarok, but I really prefer this style >>

I personally don't like the smart phone style chat. It doesn't take a lot of text to fill up the box with, that'll be annoying for sure. And those large emoticons would be the perfect spamming tool to annoy people with. :S

I'm actually excited to see it in action. I've generally disliked the generic chat system most mmos I've played have. The only one I like so far is MapleStory's approach.

I just want it to have enough character for non asian texts lol. Also I agree that seems pretty spammy but may be they can add an option to hide them or something.

MMO chats suck must of the time, they are just a small box with no emojiis or and are filled with merchants and traders spamming.

I was against in PSO2 at first, but finally you rapidely see people bringing fun and inventive icons you can then re-use and I had a lot of fun with them (as well as helping you communicate with japanese players ;p)

yeah, especially in Auto-chat.
I set some trigger point that, when I died, a picture someone lying on the ground with a text "Help" pop up automatically.
When someone heal me, a smiling face with a text "Sankyu".
That's pretty cool and convenient to have xD
Wish to show them here, but then I have to install it again lel.
And the part you can freely edit them as much as you want, make it more awesome.
